Cape Clear - a spectacular island 8 miles from Baltimore. It's the southern most of Ireland's islands with rugged scenery and an enormous variety of wildlife. The island is Irish speaking and hosts two colleges over the summer. Steeped in history, a walk around the island offers both breathtaking views and a wealth of historical monuments. Traditional music can be found in the pubs or club regularly and there is a Story Telling festival in September.
